• At the beginning of May, the FDA granted an EUA to remdesivir after preliminary data that found it to be effective in recovery for individuals with advanced COVID-19 and lung involvement.
• The FDA also broadened authorization of saliva based tests, granting an EUA to Rutgers Clinical Genomics Laboratory. This test made COVID-19 testing more accessible to those that are at home due to illness, quarantine, or high risk of infection.

Research shows that Chinese reputation among Americans has fallen to an all time low. They are skeptical of their data reports, how the country handled the pandemic both within and outside of China, and believe they will have less influence in world affairs after the pandemic ends.
