Other states, such as New Mexico, also extend the state’s emergency public health order and implement fines.
- Hundreds of scientists ask the WHO to revise their recommendations on COVID-19 to reflect its potential for airborne transmission. Before this, they had only stated transmission through individual coughs, sneezes, or talking.
- U.S. reports 3 million COVID-19 infections and begins to withdraw from WHO. The Trump administration notifies the United Nations of this decision.
